"Groom’s Cake Ice Cream is the winner of The Great Scoop Revival Flavor Tournament. But we have even more good news!" Lauren Lewis, Blue Bell's public relations manager, told USA TODAY in a statement.

Blue Bell fans had mixed emotions about the Groom's Cake win
After Blue Bell announced that Groom's Cake had won on Monday, July 1 to start National Ice Cream Month. many fans were happy for the discontinued ice cream's return.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!" another fan wrote. "You don’t know how happy this makes me and my Blue Bell Ice Cream loving daughter!"
However, some fans didn't want to believe the results. In a screenshot from an X post one Facebook user showed that Cookie Cake had 66% of votes and Groom's Cake only received 34%, leading to confusion for some users.
"You’re kidding???" one follower wrote, referring to one of the social media votes that showed Cookie Cake winning. "Something feels fishy here."
"That can’t be true," another user wrote. "Cookie cake was winning by a long shot."
Blue Bell responded and explained how the results were accounted for.
"The total votes are a combination of all social media accounts and the voting on our website," the comment read. "Ultimately Groom's Cake was the winner. There is always a chance Cookie Cake could return one day!"

Since fans expressed their devastation that Cookie Cake lost the competition, the ice cream company decided to add a sweet surprise for their cookie-loving customers.
"After a BIG response from so many of you, we have decided to bring back not only Groom’s Cake but Cookie Cake, too!" Lewis said. "Both flavors will join our lineup in 2025."
